MSAR Assists BC Ambulance at McDonald Falls

Mission, B.C. – August 12, 2015

Mission Search and Rescue assisted BC Ambulance Service with the rescue and transport of an injured male who fell approximately 30 metres at McDonald Falls, off Sylvester Road, just east of Mission. This is the fifth time that MSAR has had to rescue someone from this location over the last few years. The team was fortunate to have recently practiced this exact scenario so it was a well-executed rescue. It still took 45 minutes to remove him from the area and get him to the ambulance using our 8-wheeled Argo. The ambulance then took him to an awaiting medivac helicopter for transport to hospital.

The extent of his injuries is unknown, but he was in good spirits considering the ordeal.
